The laboratory of Immunology (IL) is a research unit of\nthe <\/br> The National institute of Pathology, Victor Babes Bucharest,\n Romania\n<\/br> specializing in the research of immunology<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The main focus of the research of the Laboratory of Immunology, it is the involvement of immune mechanisms in physiological and pathological processes (primarily autoimmune diseases, and oncology). Laboratory of immunology, developed in the present project focused on the evaluation of the parameters of the immune, to improve the diagnosis, monitoring, clinical course, and personalization of therapy at the diseases of the skin, the main disturbance of the immune system in psoriasis, and cancer of the skin, in both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. They have been developed in animal models of this disease, carcinogenesis of the skin, and melanoma of the skin in order to study the involvement of the immune system in the initiation and evolution of the diseases studied. New therapies, and new approaches to diseases of the skin have been developed using the data collected. There have been established the international cooperation in this field, including the Department of Dermatology, University of Modena and has been filled in the patent, both in therapeutic approaches, as well as molecular mechanisms in the pathology of skin.<\/span><\/p>

On the area, the identification of new drug therapies, Laboratory of Immunology is developing in the field of imunotoxicologiei, in an attempt to test the therapies and compounds for use in various diseases of the skin. In this area, having been established international collaboration with the University of Crete, University of Santiago de Compostela, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, and the University of Salerno. The last, and, most recently, addressed the area, it is the investigation of the memory is immune to the infection by the virus SARSCoV-2. In response to the current pandemic, Laboratory of Immunology, was developed in collaboration with national on-site hospital is engaged in the front line of the pandemic Covid-19 in many developed countries at the international level, at the University of Pittsburgh, University of Verona, University of Crete.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
